Manhattans are a timeless classic that will always be a hit at an event.

What’s in a Manhattan?

  • 2 oz Rye or Canadian whisky

  • 3/4 oz Sweet red vermouth

  • Dash Angostura bitters

  • Maraschino cherry (Garnish)

How to make a Manhattan

1. Find the Right Glass

The best glass to use for a Manhattan is a rocks glass or a martini glass.

2. Add Ingredients into Mixing Glass or Shaker

Pour in the Whisky, Vermouth and bitters into a glass

3. Stir

Stir for 90 seconds

4. Strain into glass

Traditionally, Manhattans are served straight up in a Martini glass. It is common nowadays though for guests to ask for their Manhattans on the rocks in a rocks glass.

6. Add Garnishes

Add a cherry into the glass.
